Fran Parkinson

It began as a journey, and then became a need, to keep putting one word in front of another, and then, to consider, which to let go . . . . I am more than a spare rib, I am more than, I AM.

Hello, my name is Fran.

I live in Cumbria in an old farmhouse that, like me, is a constant work in progress! I share my home with my lovely husband Tim, one second-hand dog called Harvey, 13 third-generation chickens and any friends and family that happen to be staying with us.

I AM a Christian on a journey to discover my authentic self and all that I can be in God. I AM a female, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a sister-in-law, a grandma, an auntie and a great auntie. I AM almost a sexagenarian (which sounds like fun!) navigating the changes that inevitably come with age.

I AM a 'word nerd', studying English as my first degree because I am fascinated by language and the way it has the power to define us. Each one of us has a story. I will share some of mine on her.e.

I AM also an ordained priest in the Church of England who reads, reflects and writes about all kinds of stuff and would love to inspire a community of seekers who can journey together.

So why not join me . . .  you are very welcome here!
